Quality starts before the first cut
Most backpack defects are born in the materials, not on the sewing line. That is why every incoming roll of fabric at DUTA is checked for color consistency, coating adhesion and tensile strength before it is released to cutting. Zippers, buckles and webbing go through cycle tests and pull tests against the approved spec sheet.
Catching a bad batch at the warehouse costs minutes. Catching it in a finished container costs weeks - so we invest where it matters.
Inspection at every stage
Our QC plan follows the product through the whole line:
- IQC - incoming inspection of fabrics, zippers, hardware and trims against golden-sample standards.
- IPQC - in-process checks on stitch density, seam strength, logo placement and measurement tolerance at each section.
- Metal detection - every finished piece passes a needle and metal detector, a hard requirement for children's and export goods.
- FQC & AQL sampling - finished backpacks are load-tested, zip-cycled and visually inspected to AQL 2.5 before packing.
- Pre-shipment inspection - carton count, barcode scan and random re-checks; third-party inspections are always welcome.
Tested like it will be used
Numbers on a report only matter if they reflect real use. Sample backpacks are loaded and drop-tested, straps are jerk-tested at the anchor points, and fabrics for outdoor lines get abrasion and water-repellency checks. For school and diaper bags we additionally verify chemical compliance such as REACH and CPSIA on request.
The result: stable bulk quality that matches the sample you approved - which is the only definition of quality a buyer should accept.
